Track Summary

New Jersey Motorsports Park includes two separate and autonomous circuits, the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt track and the 1.9-mile Lightning circuit. The Lightning track will host the first NJMP Motorsports Club Driving Day Saturday, July 5th and the Thunderbolt track will host a Club Member day August 1st. The first competition event on Lightning will be the EMRA DE/race event Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12 and the first competition event on Thunderbolt, as well as the first spectator event will be the SVRA vintage races August 7-10, 2008.

Introduction

This track is opening in July and August 2008. New Jersey Motorsports Park's main attraction will be the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt road circuit. Thunderbolt is designed to challenge drivers with its high speed, long, wide turns and varying degrees of banking and elevation changes. In addition to the Thunderbolt Raceway, New Jersey Motorsports Park offers the 1.9-mile Lightning circuit. A fast, wide and smooth "club" track, the signature turn is the 15 degree banked "Lightbulb" turn leading onto the front straight.

In addition to Road Racing activities, New Jersey Motorsports Park has a CIK world class Karting Circuit, an off-road recreational vehicle park, spacious skid pads, the Villas and a spacious Club House.
