The DefNder G70 is the latest in high performance H&N devices to pass the harsh testing of SFI 38.1. The DefNder is a very effective H&N device that incorporates two Flexible Formfit Padded Belts that rest underneath each shoulder harness (from the shoulder to the pectoral area) and extend from the Rear load carrying member to the Front Stabilizer Bar member that fits above and over the two shoulder harnesses. There is an interconnection between the Formfit Pads, the Stabilizer Bar and Rear Member that allows adjustment to suite various cockpit seating types as well as a one size fits all capability for the DefNder.

Due to the Formfit Belts resting on your shoulders and chest, comfort offered by the DefNder is guaranteed, as the Formfit Belts contour to fit any upper torso shape. With almost all the load being dispersed through the Rear Member, chest deflections during impact are kept to a minimum.

Each shoulder harness is secured in place by a very effective Harness Flare which was designed and optimized on the Sled using high speed footage and multiple 30deg runs at SFI 38.1 pulses. The result is a containment system for the harness that ensures excellent offset impact performance and multiple impact capable.

The DefNders efficient design also allows for low load transfer to the rest of the body yet allowing highly effective load transfer away from the neck during high impact. This is accomplished by a three point restraint called the Motion-Max System, connected to the helmet by a very innovative Real-eaze helmet anchor system, that incorporates a quick-release and helmet anchor in one effective design. The three point restraint system connected to the helmet consists of one horizontal tether and two lateral tethers, one on each side of the device. These three restraints provide protection on all planes during impact for frontal and side related scenarios. The geometry of these three restraints are so configured to provide maximum head motion while still providing superb neck protection.

The position of the helmet anchor Real-eaze system is as per FIA guidelines, so if your helmet has been purchased pre-drilled to FIA specifications then the Real-eaze system will attach straight to your helmet. If you require holes to be made to your approved helmet then the caliper provided with the purchase of your DefNder will make this process easy to achieve.
