Introduction

The Calabogie track has been designed to provide a challenging, safe and charismatic venue for amateur and club level performance driving enthusiasts. Its primary use is for club level events, but all operational and safety elements for race events are included in the design plan. Any race events that do take place are envisioned to be for club level car and/or motorcycle competition only as no provision is being made to accommodate professional level events with their accompanying large paddock, operational facilities and spectator amenities.

The layout and design of the Calabogie course was, from the outset, designed with this customer in mind, to provide them with the high speed challenges that they would not be able to find on public roads or even other comparable closed courses, and to do so in the safest possible conditions to provide a level of enjoyment that would make them return to Calabogie over and over again.

In order to accommodate multiple customer groups at the same time, the track layout is in the form of two outstanding stand-alone tracks, together with link sections that enable a single full course to be operated when required.

The resulting layout is the 2.22 kilometre West Course, the 2.81 kilometre East course and the combined 5.05 kilometre long Main course.
