Excellent site... couple thoughts...
What a great site... and a very cool idea as far as it being 'user update' so-to-speak. Someone could literally spend weeks typing in what they know, what they've seen.
I wonder though, if there shouldn't be some type of disclaimer on the Wiki side of things, explaining that site content IS open and most likely will contain information gained by observation, experience, and conjecture... in other words: what you read, may or may not be actual fact, it very well may be someone's personal opinion or philosophy.
I know I have strong feelings about things like harnesses, roll bars, and other 'race safety' equipment and the theories about whether or not to use them and when. At first read, I'm probably in-line with the authors of the current information on the site, but there are plenty of others out there who disagree... and I don't think they are 'wrong' just that its open to personal interpretation and risk tolerance.
Am I overthinking things here?
Anyway... again, great site, and I look forward to learning the intricacies of it and wasting a LOT of valuable work time adding content.

Agreed
We purposely made certain pages read only, like the safety page. I took a blast at it for the current content. So, noone can edit it. BUT, I and the other admins want to discuss any such content on the site in the forums and we'll happily unprotect these pages and allow more experienced people to update the text, then we'll protect it again.
The beauty of the site is that anyone can edit the stuff which is editable but if anyone seems something thats wrong or even dangerous then they can fix it or tell us and we'll fix it. The turn by turn guides for instance. We'd like the official one to be written by a professional driver/instructor/known expert driver. Then we'll make it read only figuring, it's as good as possible but again, if anyone disagrees then we can discuss as a community on the forums and get it correctly. We also recognise that there are multiple lines on a track. Low hp cars, big hp cars, novice lines, expert lines, wet lines, bike lines and so on.
So, I see exactly where you're coming from and the above is what we were thinking for that kind of stuff.
