Default Adding new harness bar to roll cage

I just dropped off my DasSport Weekender 4pt roll bar/cage with the welders. They are adding a new horizontal bar 3 inches above my existing one and moving the belt hoops on to that. The bar is the same as the existing ones 1.75" x 0.12 inch. This should finally get my shoulder belts at 0 degrees instead of the 20 plus ish that it is now.

I'll post photos tomorrow. Tubing was cheap, only needed 6 ft of it and shop rate was 60 per hour.

How are they attaching it? Are they making like a towel bar (3" of vertical tube on the ends with 5' of horizontal in between)?

They are tig-welding it like a towel bar between the two verticals of the roll bar.

This is my 4pt bar. They are adding another harness bar 3 inches above the existing one.

What do you mean towel bar? Same as me?

So, the first shop didn't have the right steel, (they had ERM, not DOM) and don't do race stuff anyway. So, I phoned a local PCA guy and asked who does it. I went to them today and they put a 1.5" x .125 bar in and it looks pretty good. They build cages for local PCA cars and cobra replicas. 120 bucks.
