Video racing games for various tracks
Starting this thread to get all the conversation on the best racing video games and which tracks they include all in one spot.
Pulling stuff from the other thread here.
Darkworx has Forza and love its. my question is buddy how do you down load new tracks? I have never found it. Is there a list available on line some where of the tracks you can get?
Others seem to love GTR which I have played a few times as my friend has it but have never really gotten to heavy into. Are there more cars than just the DTM touring cars? I always seemed to wrap them around the barriors.

I think, without a doubt, GT4 looks the best. But if you want realism in how the cars handle, Forza wins hands down. The physics in Forza are at least an order of magnitude better than GT4. I wish they could combine the graphics, cars, tracks and options from GT4 with the physics engine and tracks from Forza. Now THAT would be one hell-of-a driving sim!!

I do agree with you Conan I think that Forza has the better physics. Only think I really like about GT4 is it work SOOOOO well with the steering wheel and pedals compared to Forza.
Whats your favorite track on Forza? I have to say for me its RA but also running Suzuka is fun as well.

Totally agree about the wheel. That is a big negative against Forza for me as well.
Definately love RA, Laguna Seca, Tokyo, and "The Ring" in Forza. Forza doesn't have Suzuka, but GT4 does. GAAH! I SOOO wish those games could be combined!

Yep you right that its GT4 that has Suzuka. The test tracks in GT4 are pretty sweet as well.
Its just a shame neither have a track builder.
Do you know how to download the new tracks on Forza?

Just saw this thread... I posted something else in the General discussion...
The best thing about GTR is the 'look to apex' capability.... if that's not enabled, you aren't getting the full effect of the game. It takes some getting used to, and playing around with the intensity of it... but it adds an extra amount of realizm to the driving that takes racing video games to a new level.

I agree the look to apex stuff is pretty sweet. I havent actually used it but have saw the demo online and head some other folks on Fchat talk about.
I personally like Toca Race Driver, GT4, ALMS, and Forza. GT4 and Forza are the best driving games by far BUT the other ones have a good deal of tracks that they dont have so I play them quite a bit.

After Conan pushed me over the hump I went out and bought "Toca Race Driver 3" tonight and have to say its a hell of a game. It has some sweet tracks in it that nothing else has for the states like Gateway Intl (which I will probably run next year) and the USGP circuit.
Overall the physics are excellent I believe and it actually feels like you are driving a REAL race car compared to some of the other games out there. Only thing I dont like is you have to play through story line mode working your way up unlocking more tracks to get to play everything....ahh well got lots of stuff todo now.
I highly recommend it AND at $29.00 new its a deal.
