Gawd
The center looks mashed, isn't that a sign of overinflation?

Your rears will last easily twice as long as your fronts, if not 3x longer so it shouldn't be a concern on cost. Take this as an opportunity to throw those (imho, crappy) metalmasters away and match the Pagid pads.
This will make the car more predictable and managable, particularly in any non-straight-line braking.
Glad to hear you and the car are OK... parts are replaceable, people aren't.

Agree with Brian (sounds better than Pukka ) Until recently I ran Pagid Orange up front and OEM pads in the rear. No more. All braking is done mostly by the fronts but using different pads can also come into play because of initial bite, optimum heat operating range, etc. I ran Hawk HT-10's this weekend at the Glen because my Pagids didn't arrive on time and was very pleased with their performance. But you had done your homework and decided to have a spectacular "off" without any major repercussions. The only thing you forgot was to have the camera crew in place. Come on Stacy admit it.

OK... ya caught me. I had gotten there early Thursday, and without anyone knowing, I found a nice gradual incline section of the sand berm, removed about 20 tires embedded in the sand, and made sure it was positioned just so. I even did a couple recon laps ahead of time, made sure they'd lock up when I wanted them too.
Friday morning gets quite hectic, and I was really planning on doing it during the lunch parade laps... but it just felt right during that session. I thought my friend in the M3 had his video camera, and the track crews were SUPPOSED to have theirs, but alas... Murphy's Law kicks in and footage of it was simply not meant to be. Even the fly-by I had arranged with the Savannah Air Nat'l Guard fell through!
