Default Week 12 rFactor Challenge - Mid America "The Coucil Bluffs Collision Course"

We move from the rolling hills of northern Wisconsin to the bluffs of the Missouri river valley this week and on to Mid America in Council Bluff/Ohama. The points race is tightening up and this circuit with its complex increasing and decreasing radius turns is sure to challenge all comers.

Come on out and enjoy what really is an excellent and challenging race track in the heart of the country.

(ps sorry for posting this so late)

Yes Tifosi we will update them. I just need to get the ftp site up and rolling on the new server here and then folks can upload. We will use them AFTER this race. Keith will reload the new track and the new cars after we finish racing at MAM.

Lesson learned this time:

During a race don't pit until you get the "pit crew is ready" message. Otherwise, they will not service your car unless you go out again and come back in.

Yup same thing happened to me. Except the pit crew thing told me to come in and I did and they would not service the car. It was 3 laps earlier than scheduled. But after the rear end abuse for 5 constant laps from warpedcow I didn't mind just leaving the game.

I logged on late in quali (after almost forgetting), but I had a terrible connection and decided to bail. Didn't want my race to screw anyone else up.

Even though I was pretty slow this time around, still had fun racing with Bruce and Todd for quite a few laps. I think that was probably the first time I've done 20 laps in a row without spinning it! That said, after a couple of brainfart moments and a "pitstop request" annoyance... I managed to loop it a couple times .

Congrats to the podium!

Sorry for the taps to a few of the racers this race... certainly nothing intentional, and nothing that should have damaged anyone's car...

Looking at my replay, on lap 6, final turn, I get my nose well past the halfway point on one of the opponent's car's, which to me I thought would be enough to "have" the turn - the way I see it, I got turned in to - see screenshot 1 below (shot was taken BEFORE any body contact had occured).

The other iffy contact was on lap 9, near the esses by pit entry. I entered the esses at my usual speed but the car in front slowed far more than I expected. I tried to slow my car and bail to the left but I unfortunately caught corners - this was my bad, I should have been watching the car ahead more closely - see screenshot 2 below.

Well as you can clearly see by the angle of my car I was completly commited to the corner. And by the black marks your car is leaving into the corner it was a complete dive bomb move. The angle of your car you won't even come close to hitting the apex of the corner. Then three laps later you just rear end another guy in a corner! You used him for brakes man! Come on. Have a little patience.

Also another side note. Look at your front wheel compared to mine. Mine is spinning which means I am on the gas... yours... is locked... hmmmm dive bomb?

(update) I just watched the replay.. You made contact with me 5 times and the 6th was the final. How about some penalties for rough driving? Lets inforce the rules here.
