Week 10 rFactor Challenge - Autobahn Country Club "The Al Capone's Backyard Bash"
This week we head to the Chicago land area to many of our racers backyard. All of us after stuff ourselves over the holidays will probably be a little bit slower and over the weight limit for this race but thats should make the racing more fun.
Hope everyone had a great holiday week/weekend and I can't wait to turn some tires on Tuesday.

I would just imagine it's due to the holiday season and it's one of those unpopular tracks people don't want to learn if they don't already know it.

I find these flat tracks (and autocross courses IRL) incredibly difficult to drive. I've been running locally with about 20 AI and I still only manage 1:44s. I don't know if there just isnt enough variation on the track, or visual cues, to give me a good line, or what it is.

Oh, and the live timing module seems to be DOA.

I definitely need help. Time for the king of the Hot Laps to post a hotlap & Motec logs? First time for Doug to have the honor.
Also, why just the south course? Do they not use the full track for races?
Did anyone else see Skeen in this months Grassroots Motorsports?

Yes, it broke and I don't have any idea why. I hadn't touched the server and it stopped working. I restarted the services, restarted the server, etc... and nothing works. I have a post on their support forum, but I'd be surprised it I got any help. The error checking in the version I'm using is horrid and I can't use the latest version since I can't install .NET 3.5 on Windows2000 server.

The country club usually reserves one of the tracks for the members to race on when an event is being held there so the full course is rarely used (not to mention that the transitions between the tracks cause cars to get airborne). They typically don't run the North course by itself since it's too short to hold a National event. The SCCA have mainly used the South course for races I've been to. I've driven both and I like the South course better anyway.
