Default Winter '08/'09 league options/

OK... this is just off the top of my head... but...

I think we need to figure out a way to do some rally as a league... like with drivers and navigators... the works. I'm thinking get one of the communication systems stable and working, then we'll pair up. One person drives, the navigator "spectates" from the cockpit view and calls out turn notes. Obviously, we'd need to figure out how to make sure the navigator is watching live and not on a 20sec delay (I swear I figured it out the other night, but it escapes me right now... Num Lock key maybe?)

Thoughts?

I think that`s a neat idea, however... In rallying the navigator has a course book that contains all the route info which he uses to tell the driver what turns are coming up, he`s never really looking out front to give directions.

More coming when I get this keyboard out of French mode

Hahaha! Damn Canadians!

Stacy, have you tried "Dirt"? I've got it for the PS3 and it's just like what you're talking about.

Il n'y a pas des problemes avec les Canadiens, le seul probleme serront que l'ordinateur avec Vista est inutile quand Windows avez des problemes et la controle pour les langues est disparue.

Translation... I think... my french is pretty rough after years of not using it.:
There's nothing wrong with us Canadians, the only problem is that these Vista computers are useless when windows has issues and you lose the language control.

Anyways, now that that's over with...I forgot what else I was going to say now, damn it

I'll be back

No, sure haven't.. closest I have access to a PS3 is my brother-in-law a coupe hours away, and I don't think we've downloaded that demo yet (I'm pretty sure he doesn't actually own any full games... just a bunch of demos LOL).

Dirt is from the same people that did TOCA and Colin McRea right?

Yeah, it's from Codemasters. They have it for the XBOX, PS3, and PC. I think it was a little demanding on the hardware for the PC version though. There's a demo.

I have DiRT for 360 and it is pretty fun. I'm using the standard controller, not a wheel, so no idea how "realistic" it really is I guess. Physics-wise it seems pretty good though. My biggest complaint with the game is that all the turbo cars have a turbo whine that is about 1000x louder than it needs to be which means I either turn the volume way way down or I get a headache after 30 minutes
