Jesus man that is a wicked view. The guys going down was insane but the guys keeping it up was just as impressive. I dont know how many tank slappers I saw there.

WOW... that is insane for a professional series like World Superbike. I'd be curious what the aftermath of the race was in terms of workers and such. Even though my guess is they were using volunteers from whatever local amateur racing organization there is... certainly whomever was in charge of making sure they were trained should have been dealt with in the harshest way.

Not only that, even after it was painfully clear there was oil and debris on track they STILL never showed a debris flag, or stopped the race like they should have done.

At the same time, those riders who had already been through there once should have realized it best to drive offline.

I should add... I hope things have gotten better since 1999

Also it took place at the Nurburgring. Somewhat known for motorsports
I would have thought they would have had communication devices in their helmets. Pit lane should
have let them know as well???

No excuse, whomever was flag marshal that day should be strung up/and the corner workers in that corner should be barred from the track. Same type of situation in the midwest where an all volunteer group of flag wavers staff not only the club races, but also all the pro events that come to town. Been doing it a long time, and I've never seen anything remotly this poor.

Agreed.... my point actually was that there wouldn't be much that could be done to the workers, except not ask them back since they were more than likely volunteers anyway.

Yep, I remember that race. We were thinking the same thing. Why in the F**k did they not flag the race right then? Shut the track down, dry the oil and regrid. Things are better now and FWIW, World SBK doesn't race at Nurburgring any longer.

First race was last Sunday @ Losail.

Losail was a great start to the season! You have to like competition parity in two wheel racing!
