Default Why a head side net is a good idea

Wicked video, really shows how much your head can move even with a Hans on which doesn't offer much in the way of lateral protection.

Actually it looked to me that the Hans did come into play. That said, my right side net is in and I expect to buy a new Halo seat next year when my seats expire.

If I have any money left from the cage mods, I'm going tobuy a Cobra Suzuka seat which should be a lot better than my Pole Position. If not then I'm running a side net on both sides this year anyway, should help support the seat as well as the head if the worst happens.

a Sparco Circuit might be a better bet for a few $ more

I have the Suzukas now and I love them. Several others who've sat in mine, bought their own. Tested to 70G+, great seat, very rigid with no noticeable flexing under load. Personally, I'm sticking with Cobras given the cost/performance, next stop an Evolution. That said, a seat is a very personal thing, what fits for one is a nightmare for another.

I have I'd say good seats right now with the Recaro Pole Positions but I haven't seen any other seats like the Sukuza based Cobras on the market. Even their 800 dollar seat uses a kevlar construction to make it a lot stronger than a conventional Recaro/Sparco seat save for the carbon fiber models.

I've been taken in by the 65G claims of Cobra for their seats, 4x FIA strength. I can't see any other seat on the market under a kilo buck like it for now.

does anybody know how the driver felt after the crash? e.g. would a right side net have helped?
