The size of bolt #43 will tell you what the bore of the Heim is. #44 is the Heim itself but knowing what that #33 Jam Nut is will tell the rest of the story.

Just listening to my gut, but that rod end should have M12 threads and M10 bore. There's a lot more stress on the threads in tension/compression than a bolt in double shear.

Give that man a cigar! Trouble is, I can't seem to find anyone that sells a 10 mm bore, M12 x 1.25 LH threaded rod end.

A common "trick" is to use a bushing in a larger Heim "eye" to reduce it. These are commonly available for SAE sizes, I'll look for a Metric one for you.

Ok, I got the joint apart yesterday and here's what I found:
Heim condition -- Seems good other than the rubber seals falling off. According to other Lotus owners, this is from excessive heat coming from the exhaust. Also, the race is made from plastic so I'd still like to find a different solution before they melt.
Bolt condition -- This is the shocker. It's a grade 10.9 metric bolt, which means it should stand up to 142,000 psi and it's bent. That's just amazing to me. So I'd like to find a bolt that has more strength. Some internet searches suggest there are quite a few alloys out there that will work (Inconel 625, AISI 4130, et. al.) but I'm really out of my element here. Some of you folks are in the fabrication biz and might know what would be best and how I can get my hands on some??
There is a full package solution from Sector111, but it's $500. Since I already have the factory brace installed, I'd rather not have to buy that.
