Default Any comments on Alan Wilson interview in HPD magazine

I thought it was very interesting. Especially, the whole drainage angle determining track etc. Some interesting comments on tracks some of us are familiar with also like MAM and Road America.

I thought it was a very interesting read. Especially the part where he talks about not designing increasing radius turns because they aren't challenging

I thought it was decreasing turns he didn't like?

That's funny. The carousel at CMP is effectively one increasing radius corner.

True... but if you look at most of his designs since CMP, there are very few turns that don't turn back into themselves.

I should have said he "didn't like designing them" ... cause he does incorporate some into his designs, but most that I can see don't lead onto anything where you can make use of the increasing radius. Many seem to be followed by a sharper turn or a weak attempt at esses.
