Default How to build a BMW race car in 45s.


He got T-boned in 90 mph *ouch*
No personal injuries - but car looked like sh**.


So they fixed it!

What did they do to the cage in the car? It looks like it has pretty substantial gussets. Do you have any other pictures of that type of cage?

Drivers side hit also, pretty impressive that he survived. Remember the Aussie V8 hit last year?

I believe that is the factory supplied cage. When we were up a Will Turners a month or two ago, they had the last fresh e46 shell which looked just like this. The shells were available factory direct for something like $15K. Not sure if the new ones are being built yet.

I was at my cage guy's shop a few weeks ago and he was building a cage very similar to that in an M3... but from scratch....
