Didn't the car in front of him blow up? looked like the smoke came from up front.

Yep. Clear as a bell. The car in front smoked. Might even have been tire lockup and not engine. Hard to tell. But definitely not the camera car.

okay was just trying to clarify. the 944 sp1 engine did not, in fact, blow up. =)
