Default Watkins Glen DE, 20, 21, 22 April

Boston Chapter, BMWCCA is hosting a three day event at the Glen the third weekend of April.

http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/events/...px?EventID=315

Couple of things....you don't need to be a BMWCCA member to attend. And you certainly don't need to drive a BMW. Also, if this is your first driver's education event there is a significant discount, I believe around $100.

If you haven't been to the Glen before, you owe it to yourself. This is one of the original "Big Boy" tracks, former home to the US Grand Prix. One of the largest circuits in the States, it's about 3.5 miles around. About the only thing bad about it is that it'll spoil you for other circuits!

Check it out!

How does the Boston chapter handle new instructors? Does one have to do one school as a student first or anything like that? I don't think I'll make the April event, but I would like to go up in the future.

Michael, thanks for asking. The Boston Chapter CCA is working hard to fix a problem we had in the instructor development program a few years ago. If you go to the site and click on any of the DE committee members they'll put you in touch with the right people. Barry Tarr is in charge of instructor development. However, if you're an instructor with another chapter, or even another club, the chief instructor, Craig Ulmstead or Luka Serdar can waive you on through.

Hope to see you at one of our events soon!

Fred.

Nice, I'll keep you posted if I can make one of the events.
