Just bought my Sparco 300 suit for 1220 from Jim at Apex SPG. 20% of his suits right now.

Just wait until you hang out with him and he complains about not having money...it makes me feel for the guy.

For safety stuff, she never complains. But, if it's for wheels or suspension etc then it rarely works out...

I cry BS isn't that a red suit you already have on in your avatar. Did Jim give you that line about how hot you're going to get and lose all you concentration? I bet you used that line on the wife too right?

"Oh dear, I'll get hot and forget where I am on the track"
"What can you do about it"
"Oh I need this lightweight breathable aromatic suit"
"Well honey rush right out and get it, I can't have you losing your place on the track"
"Okay honey but only if you insist. I know the kids need new shoes and all"
"Well the kids will just have to wait for those shoes"
"Should I pick up the cool suit attachments and ice system to go with it?"
"Whatever you think is best dear"

The rest of us are driving around in T shirts.

All in fun Billy, all in fun.

By the way that is how I DREAM it goes with my wife. My conversations are usually.

"My dear queen (no really that's how it starts) I need a cooler suit for the track"
"Why"
"Because I'll get hot and lose concentration, I might wreck then"
"Then don't go to the track, sell the car, I'm tired of driving the minivan. I want an Escalade."
"Well I'll just stick with my hot old suit then"
"Good choice, now rub my feet, I shopped all day and I'm tired"
"Yes dear"
In my mind....."Thank the Lord for a shipping address at work "

Yep, that's what I do. My car is my fire suit. I'm pretty sure it shuts down everything, fuel system, etc, in event of a severe crash (air bags triggered, or rollover sensor triggered).

The red suit is my brothers, bought about 12 years ago. FIA 1986! Nomex isn't supposed to wear out but why take the chance.

I'll gladly take donations of expired firesuits, as currently I wear jeans/khakis and a cotton long sleeve t-shirt
