Pics & video from SM race at Auotbahn South
Sunday was my 1st day back after my crash. I raced the Automekanika #61 'lil bro' SpecMiata. The race day had some up/downs with dumb little mechanicals. Due to a finicky gas gauge I raced about 50lbs over min. weight, but my fast lap time was only .3 off the SM track record of 1:42.6. I only finished 3rd in the race. I fought with the #2 driver every lap, but just couldn't get by. Both of us lost touch with the leader early by getting caught behind some faster ITS cars, which held us up in the corners, and missing a 1st lap crash. see the video below, I'mm in the blue miata:

Allen,
Surprised no one has seen fit to comment. Great vid, how did you manage to get T-boned and finish. It looks like the car drove perfectly after the hit???

Wow
Happens pretty fast. Any photos of the door bars? f1rocks 944 has those style door bars also and many are now swearing by them rather than the usual diagonal door bar seen on most 944 cars. I think Jim Bryants old car had them and saved the new owner in a mosport wreck.
