CART at Road America
Anyone watch the CART race today at Road America? I was at the Bears-Vikings game (awesome by the way) and just finished it on TiVO. It was an excellent race and lots of great passing. I have to say push to pass is sweet as all hell on courses like this where they can run it on the long straights.
Katherine Legge has a huge crash in the kink as well but walked away smiling...good show of how safe these cars are.

Damn... 1/2 way through... shouldn't have opened this post.
Clark and Tracy on lap 21... wow.
Push to pass is lame. Makes it into a video game. Maybe they should run over power-ups on the course to score extra health points. puuullleeeaassse.

John wasn't kidding about that crash. It will surely be on the news at some point. One of the worst ones I've seen in a long time, easily the worst I've seen on a road course (vs Oval). Even though I knew she was going to wreck and walk away from it, I still gasped out loud when I saw it happen real time. It was one of those wrecks where the directors of the show are so worried, they wouldn't replay it, for fear of being grisley. Not until she walked out of the care center and waved to everyone would they show the actual impact.
It is a phenomenal testimony to the safety equiptment.

160 through the kink and you lose it, pucker moment of the century if you'd have time to realise which I don't think the driver had until it was over...
