Good vid! Didn't the Zonda R and 599XX do quicker laps more recently?

I looked it up and the Radical was about 7 seconds faster- but I'm sure its aerodynamics helped with that, not power.

Not that it's not impressive, but calling the Radical a "Production Car" really is a bit of a stretch. (Granted many of the other super cars can also be argued)

In the context of 'Ring laptimes, "Production Car" doesn't necessarily mean road legal, as neither the Zonda R nor 599XX are road legal.
The should just do something similar to the Pikes Peak runs... make it a completely open class competition, and make it somewhat more "official". Take an old F1 car, jack up the suspension enough to make it around the carousel, strap on a few extra turbos, and see if you can break the 5 minute mark.

Fair enough, although I think the Zonda and 599 arent official production records as they arent street legal. I know quite a few race type cars are actually street legal in europe.
