You mean Kimi's plummet from 2nd to 14th?

But I agree, it was a real good race at the end

I've devised a new strategy to (hopefully) avoid last place, at least with one of my teams.

For one - do the "recommended" changes
For the other - do the opposite of the recommended changes

Ken seems to have this figured out.

I think that we will see more teams / drivers in the mix this year and that'll just make our league a bit tougher to handicap. Unlike last year it won't be Red Bull and try and guess which Maclaren gets on the podium. F1 is interesting again.

Well, I may be leading... but I still am nowhere near figuring this season out...

Last race, I swap out the eventual winning driver and still score 100+ points... this week, I score a measly 60 with BOTH teams...

It's just impossible to know what's going to happen...
More luck than anything...

The fact that changes are locked before FP3 doesn't help either...
That's what screwed me over this weekend

Yeah... the way I'm thinking about is so far... putting the guess work in, kinda takes the guess work out.

Just plug in different combos and hope for the best.

All the penalties being handed out doesn't help matters either. Anyone know if the PFF1 uses the "raw" results (from qualifying for example) or the final grid positions?

I'm pretty sure for the qual predicting bonus points, it goes with the raw data... which I can accept when grid penalties are introduced for the race... Still not sure about the Spanish round, where Hamilton was DQ'd for not having the fuel... technically he didn't get the pole then... Not sure if the points were adjusted later, but a day or so after, they were still there...

EDIT: Just checked again, and the DQ'd Hamilton still got full points for pole, and the 5 bonus points for a correct guess are also still intact... So all points must be based off of raw results...

I'd like to remind you gents that just like baseball, there is no crying in F1.

Unpredictable season = unpredictable game. I'm loving both though.

Can someone point me to how overall points are given out? I can't find them on the site.

I'm thinking my strategy might be all wrong cause I apparently don't have a CLUE as to what the points structure is.

Thanks!

Ugh... both my teams would have done way better had Maldonado not taken out Hamilton at the end...

That was mostly Hamilton IMHO. He knew Mal was beside him, he simply didn't give him any racing room.

Stewards got both "racing incidents" wrong in this race I think. giving Senna a drive through was wrong. Giving Maldonado a grid penalty for Silverstone is wrong.
