Default One of the absolutely most interesting videos I have ever seen (In cylinder video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ec0tczrYuYc&v3

This is just awesome. I really can't explain how cool it is to watch this baby. I think I am on my sixth or seventh time watching this.

Quite possibly the coolest video I have seen on Youtube. Must be the engineer in me.

Ditto... I can't believe the abuse that the intake valve goes through during combustion.

Andris I was thinking the exact same thing. I cant believe how it gets beat with flame. For some reason I also expected a lot more flames in the combustion process...I was thinking like massive fireball.

Cool stuff. Actually I had been meaning to post something on 6 cycle engines for a while now, not to veer off topic, but THIS seems closely related. AW reported last week that both Lotus and Bosch are indepentently hard at work perfecting their own take on the 6C, apparently unlike the Crower cycle engine which uses steam, they compress the exhaust product, inject a tiny bit of fuel and then allow the cylinder to diesel. According to AW the claim is that using this method, 4 cylinder engines can produce the equivalent power output of a V8, while reducing fuel consumption and emissions at the same time. Tres cool.

Very cool. I have seen the first video before, but have not yet heard about the 6 stroke engine. Great idea, although last week I would have had a giant chuck of ice in my tank.
