Default 996 Recaros revisited

So,
I'm not happy with my setup. The Porsche 996 manual sliders with BK 907x seat adapters and my Recaro Pole Positions are too high. This seems to be because of the slider design using inch high fingers which means BK need a tall seat mount so the seats clear the sliders.

Result is the seat is really high which causes quite a few problems. The most important one is my harness shoulder belt angle to my roll bar.

So, I'm selling the Porsche sliders and seat adapters on EBay and am going to buy the BK 904x seat adapter with Recaro sliders and BK 993 seat mounts. Apparently this will give me a 2 inch lower seat position which fixes the harness belt issue.

So, the saga continues...

I dont think the saga will ever end. Whats going to happen is you are going to end up with the stock Porsche seats back in the car for good.

Are you sure you want to sell the Porsche seat mounts as having them is probably a good idea if you want to put the original seats back in at anytime in the future.

But your probably not thinking about seats right now being in Grand Cayman....your probably just sitting back on the beach doing nothing except dreaming of that one fine day when you can pass me.

John, based on your description of Billy I would have to say that he would have to be dreaming in colour in order to be able to pass you on the track

Carm, You think they'll make it to LCMT without killing each other? I of course plan to pass everyone, after the first day that is, as I haven't driven LCMT in 3 years. Day 3 will be exciting.

Of course we will make it down there! I love Billy (not in the same way Irish people love Potatoes) but am just busting on him extra hard this week because he is on vacation down in Grand Cayman and I am stuck working in his homeland.

I actually am really excited to take on the LCMT as its the first real course I will have driven with a lot of elevation change. I think Friday/Saturday will be fairly slow for me AND given that I am in Billy's car I will want to be even more careful with it because I know those Porsches dont hold up like Ferrari's do on the track as we could all see at Sebring.

Flame suit now on.

George, I think John and Billy will be like Will Smith and who ever his co-actor is called on Bad Boy's the first movie, they will get all mad at each other and then break out into a song ... Bad boys, bad boys what you gona do what you gona do when those regular LCMT track junkies put a pass on you ... ah you do realize I am talking about on the track right
