Actually, a green F1 concept could be done. F1 is turning into extremly expensive and performance marginals are getting smaller. F1 is pushing and promoting technology and is a very strong brand.
Green technology needs development, we're far from using the best technology now. Also promoting, it's pretty much labeled "nerd". Sure, the F1 circus would become slower, but I think in a few years it will be just as quick. It would also be a great promotion opportunity from the manufacturer, bringing back the "F1 Technology in you car" slogan.
