Ok
I'm curious besides from driving on the track and feeling it out or timing, is there any way to know if an R compound has too many heat cyles from looking at it?

You can feel how hard the rubber is with your finger nail. Compare to other tires of known age/softness.

Nope, looks the same color. I'll photograph them later.

Here's the photos. The tires don't feel particularly soft to touch. Guess, I'll have a point of comparison tomorrow with the other ones.

Harder to tell from a visual. The finger nail pinch will give you a clue. Remember you are buying about $1000.00 worth of tires for $200.00 so unless the previous owner has switched to a different brand I'd be a bit wary.

Looks like someone could benefit from going over their wheel settings. The tires look a little bit uneven worn.

Yep
BIR is hard on the front left. Besides changing pressure, I don't think I can change my camber settings much on my stock 996.

When I buy a GT3 :) Figure it's cheaper than modding one.
I dunno, I'm still in two minds about the car. If it survives the winter then maybe I'll do a suspension upgrade to camber plates/JICs/sway bars (thats about 5k in the USA) next year.

Wrong,Wrong, Wrong. After LCMT the car gets cleaned up and gets sold. Billy, we both know the car has a curse. Goodbye purple 996. We'll discuss at LCMT. :)

I think it will be sold given today's events at LCMT. That thing has a bigger curse on than I have ever seen. Stange how before you got it my car never had problems...then first day he has it what happens Billy and I get speeding tickets. Hmmm...its all coming together now.

Agreed, some serious bad voodoo with that car.
