There are a lot of single board setups like that available. I get servo, the robotics magazine and there are a bunch of them with various input and output pins. GPS, accelerometers, even gyroscopes all available at 'reasonable' costs. I've thought about it also but it ends up being more expensive than buying a lot of the kit right now. I had thought of using zeebee as a radio to push telemetry to the pit lane every lap (if that was legal...)

I don't know what any of that means in that document... but my friend (and fellow Trackpedia member) has just come out with a very reasonably priced data-acquisition system...

But, I am looking at parametric logging of things other than road forces etc.

Actually,
We can log quite bit and currently have all OBDII data recorded.
We hope to have a full 20hz and 100hz analog data recorders ready by December.

I am doing non OBD things (car is non OBD) so my focus is external sensors.
