As the resident iRacerFan, just wanted to update on some of the latest goings on...

The IRL has signed on to authorize content and promote a "Virtual" Indy 500 for May 2010
VW TDI Cup cars released
'79 Lotus F1 released
Skid Pad released
In-race "resets" now changed to "tows" ... includes wait time that eliminates abuse of resets
Physics are continually being evaluated and enhanced when/where needed
It has been announced that Leagues will be a part of a near future software build, though exactly how it'll be implemented is currently under heated debate on the forums

Now if I can just bite the bullet and buy some hardware that'll run the damn thing I'd be SET! :stupid:

I showed John my 42" 1080p LG LCD TV (700 bucks btw) connected to my MacBook with a MiniDisplayPort->DVI, DVI->HDMI cable and I think he's in love. Wicked picture. We're imagining what 3 of those displays would be like with iRacing...

I've had a 42" 1080P Westinghouse LCD for a few years, great stuff for gaming!

I am loving the VW TDI! I went ot Road America for the ALMS race and watched the TDI race, and it is amazing how accurate iRacing appears to match the charateristics of the real race car. Oh, FWIW, I run iRacing on a 46" LCD and have the Obutto cockpit and CST pedals...all money well spent!
