G2X data in Videos

Somewhere, I saw a software package that puts G2X data on a video. Does anyone have any info on this? If you have used it, what options are available other than track map, RPM, and Speed?

I am an amateur racer and now, an video amateur video producer…

As Eric said Billy knows all about this stuff. I think the software is called Trackvision but am not sure.

You can get the software for 150 bucks from www.trackvision.net The software makes it pretty easy to sync the telemetry and the video and allows various dashboards to be overlaid on the video to show it.

It works with most data loggers including our favorite, the G2Extreme (available from Kary at http://www.group9motorsports.com).

I managed to get my video to sync up with the data. I did two things:

1) Used original movie from my Sony P200 camera.
2) Open the G2X file, open all laps, click on main file (not the laps). Select GPS mph, lat/long and then click on View/Autoscale to see ALL the data, not just the first 600 seconds. Export it with 0.05 sample rate as a csv file.

Open both files in trackvision, sync em at an appropriate point and it seems ok. It's still merging my movie so I'll upload when it's done.
