SimBin (Creator of GTR) has done a game for Volvo. It's apparently a real simulation.

Downloadable at http://www.volvocars.com/intl/All-Cars-MY09/conceptcars/Pages/S60concept.aspx

Then Skip the Intro and click "Volvo the game"

I have not tried it myself, BTW.

That Volvo site download link doesn't work for me for some reason... so I'm downloading it from here instead: http://downloads.gamezone.com/demos/d27098.htm

Warped - Why am I not surprised that you were the first to pick up on this one? ;)

It actually is a pretty sweet little game. However, it only has two tracks, and I'm pretty sure only one models a real life track. The physics engine is awesome, pretty much the same as Race 07 and GTR Evolution by SIMBIN. The old 240 race car is real easy to steer with the throttle, and once you adjust the brake bias, it bites into corners nicely.

There also appears to be some online "hotlap" leaderboards where you can register a free account and compare your times for each car on each track.

Considering it's free, I'd say it's worth the download and mucking about for a bit.

That said, I'm sure after a few more hours of mucking about, I'll spend most of my racing time in GTR Evolution instead :D

The second track (Gothenburg City) is actually real. The 240 is very throttle responsive in steering in real life also.
