New tranny coming then

My 996 is getting a new tiptronic tranny from Porsche. It went on me and I'll have it back end of next week with a new tranny. I hope uweave doesn't read this because it'll throw his HPDE cost numbers way off. If anyone else had a tippy then make sure to flush/change the tranny fluid annually if you drive it hard. You have been warned. The normal change interval is 100k miles :eek:

Billy, I change gear box oil etc at the beginning of every season. Very happy you are not out 10K. You ducked a big bullet. :)

This is Billy.

My tranny failed. A bearing in the front pump seized, a seal blew and that was that. 7200 for a replacement with a 9.5k total price including install.
