1.6G again and this time with braking of 1.3G. Must be the surface at Willow Springs.

http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/California_SpeedwayNot trying to criticize the logger or anything/anyone else, but this doesn't "prove" anything. Those are great numbers, no doubt. And they may be spot on in this case, but they may not. Personally, I think in my case the g-load numbers are inaccurate due to the unit shifting and sliding with the carpet piece.
At least the times should be dead-on for everyone, so Kary looks to be pretty damn fast :)

I have mine mounted to the chasis so there is no sliding. Very accurate as long as you have it level in both directions.

Hoosiers + setup = lots of grip

Doesn't seem out of line to me. I have pull a tick over 1.3 with 225/245 Hoosiers on my car in an AX on level ground. 1.5 in the bowl at NHIS. Persumably with a 245/275 setup, decent track temp and and a little bit of camber 1.6+ seems very possible to me.

I was at 1.29 with a stock suspension MR2 on RA1s (not as grippy as Hoosiers)
1.6 is more than doable in a Porsche with prep
