I test drove a 135 this week. Nice. I may get one for a daily driver.

I am still unemployed, but I am optimistic that that will change soon, I am in a negotiation stage. The new commute would be 25 miles one way and I don't want to drive my race car or motorcycle. I will be parking outside, and I hate to put an extra 12,500 miles on the 997 each year. I can't afford gas in the Durango, so I need a commuter car.

At 6'4", I don't know if I fit in a Mini.

A used BMW 3 coupe would also be an option. I really liked the 135.

944? Older 911 C4?

I like a sporty feel and do not fit well in many American/Asian cars.

It will be my winter daily driver. Must be reasonably reliable.

Bring on the suggestions.

You'd fit. Think Dr. Who. No one might fit in the seat behind you, but I'm sure you'd have no problem. Just one the amazing traits of the Mini.

You'd fit.

+1

I fit (6'2") with loads of room, as do my brother (6'4") and my dad (6'6"). The driver seat is VERY adjustable (height as well as reclining/sliding).

Edit: And Minis are great in snow :)

I'll make that a 3rd vote for an MCS. After 6 years with ours I still get a kick from driving "Zippy". A solid year round driver that is very good in the snow and a blast in the other seasons. I'd at least test drive one.

I bit on a BMW 135 today. Park Place (Rochester) gave me a deal I could not refuse. Now I wait for it to be built...

I do fit in a Mini, but not as well as the 135. I had room enough for a helmet in the 135.

Yet another sign of a bad economy but a good deal for you. How good was the deal?
