I'm considering Falken Ziex ZE-512s for my 2k A6 Quattro 2.7t daily driver (I don't track the car but I drive it hard pretty much non-stop) - anyone have any experience with those tires as daily-use, all-season rubber? I have Goodrich G-Force Sports under the car now and even though they are advertised as dry weather tires I've been really impressed with how they've handled wet roads at legal and 'other' speeds. Anyway, any reviews would be appreciated.

The Falken Ziex ZE-512 is a no season tire, it's a significant step down in grip for dry and wet warm weather conditions compared to your BF-Goodrich G-Force Sport ultra high performance summer tires.
The Falken Ziex ZE-512 should be more quiet and comfortable for daily use, is that what you want

No! I'll trade crappy NVH for GRIP any day! If there's a better all-season tire than the BFGs for less than $100/tire then I'd take a hard look at it, otherwise I'm certainly not averse to replacing the Goodrich rubber with more Goodrich rubber since it's a known quantity.

If the BFG has been good to you I'd stick with it
the Falken 512 is cheap, black and round, the people I know that use them only care about that as they have r-comps for going fast

Mad Mike, no experience w/ the 512's. However with the previous model Falken's I put them on our Mini Cooper S in the spring and left them on until late fall. At that time the MCS was a daily driver and also doing AX, ice racing and had 5 track (DE) days. After 2 years of that they still had some usable rubber left but where just driven too many miles and also heat cycled out. But as said they were not the 512's. (215's I think?)

I ran them on my Miata, they weren't super sticky but they worked quite well. I would certainly put them on daily driver without hesitation, work well in the rain and seem to be round (which helps).
Got decent tread life out of them considering how hard I pushed them, they will work well for your car IMO.
