Finally got the data pulled of the data loggers after the UPS man stopped by today. Data is posted below. I was a little shocked the new surface didn't product higher numbers under braking than I saw in the data but still some good stuff. I look forward to you guys comments.

Ok stack
I give up, whats the deal with the brakes? Which pads and tires are you using?

Stack, Stack, Stack. I'm disappointed. :) Who was your instructor? You need a racer in that right seat. :p Road Atlanta is a serious commitment track, not a bad showing for the first time out.

Man, I really wish I had some data. I guess I need to get off my ass and coordinate the schedule with that of the logger.

I've added some notes on the data page (excuses)...

I was only able to record one session with the logger in my car... that was the last session on Saturday. The 1st two sessions were spent getting to know the track (while my instructor was a super nice guy, Tom Hall, that weekend was also his first time at Road Atlanta).

The datalogger session I did have a good instructor, Mike Hinkley, but alas, traffic was horrible, and I didn't get on track until late because I forgot to pick up the classroom proof of purchase to get on track (props to the grid workers for enforcing this, at least with me lol).

Anyway... once I get an Mpeg version of my 1st two Sunday sessions, I think you'll see it was a wee bit better than what the data indicates. When I got a clear run, I did an unofficial 1:58. Of course, there was only one, and the rest of my laps were in the 2:05-2:15 () range.

Billy... I am running stock E30 brakes with Brembo OEM replacement rotors, Pagid Blue Sport pads front, Axxis Metal Master pads rear, SS lines, and AP Racing 550 fluid. Tires are Khumo V711 street tires (225/15s), this was there 4th event. This set-up sees everyday daily driving as well. My braking is much better than the data indicates.

well John, I guess we're spoiled by the braking numbers the MR2 produces

I moved my brake point at 10A from 125' to 90'. Some of that is new pavement, some of that is the switch to Carbotechs.

I was around -1.09 on the old stuff right? I wonder what that would be on the new pavement & pads :D

Hey Stack thanks for the description. I knew it was your first time there and forgot to put that on the data page even though I was meaning too. My only question was the brakes because they looked so good at CMP and VIR but RA's -0.63 was a shock to me.

Keep on trucking buddy!

I assume you mean the drop in G's? You can equate that 100% to driver confidence/knowledge of the track. That would be an excellent comparison to how much simply KNOWING a track can improve your performance.

The only difference to the braking system since the CMP data was the upgrade to a slightly larger master cylinder for improved pedal feel.
