As were all tuning our cars up and making motor sounds in our houses as the snow melts here in the Midwest I am sure we are all thinking about where and when your first track day is going to be.
Donnybrooke Motorsports is offering an open track day and school on May 7th. I have been working Gary Curtis at Donnybrooke to get all of us Trackpedia members some great track time at an excellent race track with some great instructors and think we have a great offer.
While I cannot disclose the discount we will get because it is dependent on how many folks we get to sign up, and I don't want to over commit to anyone on here, I want to use this thread to get an initial count of folks wanting to attend by the end of the week. Once I have that number I can get everyone a final pricing and have people sign up.
If you are thinking about participating even if not completely positive at this minute let me know by posting in this thread.
Here are the normal prices. Discount will be lower!
Drive your own car: $265
One Session SPEC Car: $295
3 sessions (half day): $785.00
6 sessions (full day): $1,395.00
I hope we can get a good number of people signed up to participate!

I'll give you a tentative Yes.... Only hold back is that my clutch is on it's last legs. If I smoke it during first fling, I may be using the month of May to replace it.

I hope to be there, but not driving. I need to pace myself. Two weekends in a row is a little hasty.
And yes.. i know nobody asked.

10 dollars says Rob signs up for May 7th immediately after Spring Fling ends. Yes, Rob, it really is that addictive.

Unless you're chasing the last few tenths, just avoid powershifting and you'll be just fine. I find BIR to be real easy on my clutch at least the way my car is geared, I do the whole track in 3rd and 4th just fine. Yay for having a turbo and buckets of torque at 3k RPM! :D

Come on guys looks like we got 8 people signed up. If we can get two more official 'yes' men/women I will be thrilled. I will be going back to Donnybrooke this Friday with our group and get the final discount list.

Got the price back from Gary and its going to be $225 including the usual Donnybrooke day lunch. I am also trying to figure out how and what I am going to throw in for a special gift for those who register. :)
This is going to be an open track day event where there will be no specific run groups. Typically the track will be open 9-5 with an hour worked in for lunch. Bottom line is if you've ever been to a Donnybrooke even you know that Gary and crew make it a first class event and I am positive this will be no different.
I will contact all those that said there were interested via PM to tell you how to sign up and register in the coming week. I would like to have all interested parties registered with Donnybrooke in the next two weeks.

Update: I posted the wrong price. Instead of editing the original post I want to update it here with a new one so no one think's I'm changing time. :) The correct price is $240.
