I'm feeling shy all of a sudden.

I asked a question on another thread, and some guy told me I have to stand up and introduce myself. So, okay. But most of what I can say has already been published elsewhere. Anyone who is so bored that they want to know more can find it at the links below.

I have a job (www.thawleyphoto.com) but I'm self-employed. So sometimes I don't wear pants.

I have a blog (http://roadracegeek.blogspot.com)

I'm having a garage sale tomorrow. (You should come and buy something.)

I have been to college twice, but really don't feel much smarter.
The first time, I drove this:

The second time, I drove my very first, brand new car:

I still have it, but my wife won't drive it any more:

I tried to weld aluminum with my mig for a while. It didn't work too well. Now I make stuff out of steel.

Thanks for having me.

The two wheels up shot rocks. Me thinks you photoshopped the track in because it looked like you were landing on an aircraft carrier and just hoping to hook a wire. Welcome!

No photoshop. Its the real deal, taken by Wes Allison at the first Super Street Time Attack. I totally blew chunks for time that day. But they were short a few cars and asked it I wanted to come...

your blog mentions “specialization of labor”

That reminds me of something I once said. I am a EE in the Radio Comms business. When CB was big, a CB'er approached (nagged) me about working on his "rig". I explained that as technology has gotten more complex, it has become the age of specialists. I then stated I specialize in not working on CBs.
