A1 Grand Prix of Nations

Just stumbled across the A1 Grand Prix of Nations race on OLN network (channel 608 on DirectTV). Never heard of this before. Anyone with info/history? Looks like a F1 spec race.

I watch it all the time as I think its a great series because the cars are all even and the biggest difference comes down to the drivers. They are coming to Laguna Seca this year and it should be a blast to see them mix it up out there.

Looks like a legit series, a few good names too... Jos Verstopen, (sp?) Christian Fittipaldi, Max Papis, some sons of people... Lauda & Rahal to name a couple...

I love the streaming of the last race on the website. Makes life easy if I miss it on TV.

The names are fairly big and most have been in F1 or are shooting to be there so they know how to drive an open wheel car.
