Many thanks go out to Kz2zx and his friends out west who took the G2X data logger to task and strapped it to their bikes to see what they could do at a very cold Arroyo Seco Racway (http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Arroyo_Seco_Raceway).

I have posted data for two riders each on Kz2zx's bike and each turning in some great times for a 600cc or so machine. The data is actually really interesting to look at for us car guys as the G numbers pulled on the bike are quite extraordinary especially under acceleration.

Check out the data logged files here:

and here

Thanks again Kz2z and hopefully we can hook you up with the logger here again in the near future for your next few weekends. If you have any other buddies interested shoot them over here as well as I would love to gather more data for the two wheel crew. :)

Acceleration wise, it's just wicked, 0.7G is pretty fast. It really shows the difference between a bike and a car. A car can turn and stop faster but a bike will nail it in a straight line. That top gear segment with the R1 versus a 996 looks like a twisty enough track to tip the scale towards the car.

Anyone know at MAM whats quicker? A bike or a prepped car?

For the money of course, it's no contest, the bike wins if you can live with the risk.

Not sure but I remember seeing that the GSX-R 1000cc bikes were in the 1:30 range. Could be wrong but thats what I remember seeing on a board down there.
