The Great One Lap of America 2007 Thread
Wiki Page is HERE
We'll be using this thread to keep everyone updated of our progress during the 10 day marathon event across most of the Midwest. Did I mention we have to do all the track and street driving on one set of tires?
Schedule is here
We are doing final preparations on the car tommorow (Wed) and will be headed for the start of the ordeal on Thursday at Tire Rack HQ
between Doug (1lapSRT), Devin (SoloEvo) and myself, I hope we can keep you all up to speed on how things are going, where we stand after each track, and how the trip in general is going. Feel free to chime in and cheer us on

You'll have a huge cheering section, even if it is "Virtual"!! Perhaps folks can get to some of the events for real... sporting their Trackpedia T's
I can't wait to get your in car perspective both on the races and the difficulty in stringing them all together. I still can't believe the whole things needs to be done on one set of tires... What kind will you run?

last year Doug ran on Goodyear Eagle DSG3s (iirc). We selected the Yokohama Advan Neova for this year.
Check the Schedule Link on the wiki page, take a sick day, and come out and watch all the crazy machinery (besides our little Neon... )

Good Luck..... be safe.....
My own life was touched by the Run twice. In 1972, I worked on the Car Telephone equipment that went into Yate's 1972 Challenger (my company supplied the radio etc) and I did get to ride in it.
Then a few years ago, I started building a 1 lap car, an attempt which I aborted. Maybe in a few more years after I retire, I'll actually do it!

Finals are done, let the speed and shenanigans commence!
Thanks, guys, for the well-wishes. Hopefully we will do Trackpedia proud and bring you all some great stories.
