I picked up a cool new self contained camera from Apex Performance (new 944 Spec Sponsor). It's very cool - an entirely self contained lipstick camera - no wires. Mounted it under my front bumper for a new angle - turned out well. Going in an out of the bumper's shadow caused a few minor exposure issues, but overall, very good video. The race itself is a run through the entire Spec Miata field - lots of good SM footage.

The new section of Gingerman - new T9 & T10 is fun, with elevation changes, and a nice long straight.

I keep spotting this track every time I fly into Milwaukee from the west. It looks like it's in disrepair, but it's hard to tell at 10,000'. Wondering if anybody here knows anything about it.

In Google Maps, do a search on Bohner Lake, WI, and look just west of town in "satellite" view. That's the track. What is it?

NASA-SE proudly presents the 1st annual Fall Fling! at NCCAR in Roanoke Rapids, NC on September 25-26, 2010. This will be a fun filled event that promises to exceed all previous levels of NASA-SE quality events. We will have our normal schedule starting on Friday evening and continuing through out the weekend. This event includes:

High Performance Driver's Education (HPDE) - drivers of all makes and models of cars can sign up and begin at the novice level (HPDE 1) and work their way to advanced driving skills. All drivers start with classroom instruction as well as an in-car instructor to guide you to drive your car at the limits. All of this takes place with the safety of a racetrack under controlled conditions.

Competition License School - We will teach you everything you need to know to get your NASA Racing License! We will teach you the rules of racing as well as strategies both in classroom and on track.

Instructor Clinic Level II - This is for getting your Instructor's badge to instruct for NASA. We will cover all types of student scenarios with role playing and hone your instructor skills with some blindfolded driving!

I am looking to put a set of track-oriented Hawk HP Plus brake pads on my car but unfortunately can only find a set on my vehicle for the front axle. Would this be appropriate for track use or would it bias the brakes to much towards the front. The rears would be Hawk HPS in this case.
